Hogan Brown, Hogan Brown Fly
Butte Creek - is hovering around 400cfs and dropping fast. These are great wade fishing flows and from some recent reports the fish are spread out but there is a few around. Nymphing with eggs and attractor patterns along with swinging flies in the run that suite that style of fishing are catching a few trout and smaller steelhead. Reports of some larger true winter steelhead caught down river have drifted in so with some more rains hopefully they will make there way up river. January is going to be a great month on Butte Creek this year if we keep getting some rain.
With the recent garage of storms fishing on the Butte Creek and the Lower Yuba are really shopping up for a great late December and January.
