Sacramento River
Valley Striper Fishing - Fishing on the Sac has been fair to good. Hooked and Lost a few big fish this week. Good numbers continue to be caught on heavy sinking lines but top water fishing in the PM has improved and fishing around weed beds with lighter lines is picking up.
Hot weather has warmed the water a bit but not a ton and the salmon fishermen are out in force as salmon fishing has actually been decent from what I have heard so planning around salmon traffic can be key.
Fishing on the river is good through Ocotober.
