The Surf Fly Fishing Report

Local SurfJan 14, 20151 min read

Jack Harrison, Fish The Rip

The ocean has been relatively calm the last few weeks- small swells, light winds and warm days have allowed for many beautiful days spent fishing the surf.  The fishing has been good for red tailed and barred surf perch, Large/ trophy perch have not been uncommon for the angler willing to work for them! I’ve had some of my personal best perch days in the last 3 weeks. If you would like to learn more about fly fishing the surf please visit our website www.fishtherip.net. - I expect the fishing to continue to be good through the end of February, Once spring rolls around we will be confined to fishing during the morning hours before the strong afternoon NW winds. If you’d like to book a trip call the shop or get in touch with us directly (just make sure to let us know LCO sent you!).
