Evan Praskin Reports on 1.25.2018

Surf report for the last week in January! We have a lingering WNW swell which begins to fade as a new decent WNW swell moves in by the end of the week. There have been some good reports coming in if you can get out between these swells. The best day coming up looks to be Sunday after the new WNW begins to fade, but Santa Cruz beaches should be less exposed allowing some surf to be fishable. Light East wind in the AM with a South breeze by evening. Noticing that the sand crabs have more eggs on them now so bust out those orange hot spot Flys! Don’t forget to have some 3 or 4” clousers in chart/white, those big momma perch love them! January has blown past us, and that means The striper run is right around the corner. I’ll be organizing an upcoming Surf Clinic through the shop so stay tuned!  Hope everyone has a great week and we’ll see you on the beach!
