Russian River Report: The fishing on the Russian has yet to start this Spring with the river still high and off-color. The fishing should start in the next couple of weeks, with the onset of better weather (fingers crossed). The smallmouth are also on their beds, with the males guarding fry from predators, mainly squawfish, so no fishing until the males are back off their beds.
