McCloud River Fly Fishing Report
John Rickard of Wild Waters Reports on 9.29.2016
Its been a special couple weeks for big rainbows, there were days when they took over the feeding lanes and finding normal size trout was rare. It is special to see some big bows like these. We’ve had great success swinging, stripping, nymphing, and even some on the big dry. There are not a lot of hatches right now but the anticipation of the great October Caddis hatch is on every anglers and fish’s mind. The river is in great shape and many days we didn’t see many other anglers out there. That will change once you all see these fish.
