Lower Yuba River Fly Fishing Report

The Lower Yuba is sitting around 1,025 cfs and has excellent clarity. Fishing has been good and sometimes excellent. Large midday BWO hatches over the last week in the fog have provided some awesome dry fly fishing. For indicator fishing, one egg with two small baetis nymphs behind it has been the best for me. The forecast over the next week looks good and I expect fishing to continue to be solid throughout December. The section above highway 20 bridge opens up tomorrow and should provide good fishing for bank anglers with access up there or who are willing to hike.

I have plenty of days open in December for floats on the Lower Yuba and have easy online booking on my website benthompsonoutdoors.com
