Sacramento River Stripers
Fishing on the Sacramento River near Chico remains solid for stripers. As is typical in August our numbers start to decrease but we start seeing more quality fish later in the season that we go. The best fishing the last couple of weeks has been in the middle parts of the day from 11AM-2PM being the best bite.

This time of year it really helps coming prepared with good casting skills. The fish have seen lots of flies over the last two months and the better you can present you fly the greater chances you have at putting some solid numbers in the boat. Currently most days we are landing about 20-25 stripers with most of them in the 2-5lb range and a couple shots at quality fish.

Anyone looking to get some late season striper fishing in then I will continue to guide for them through the middle parts of September. Openings below:
September 4-5, 10-11
