Fishing continues to hold in its summer pattern. The weather is still warm and the salmon aren’t quite here yet. The caddis continue to be the main diet for most of these fish. If you are looking for big fish then now is the time on the Lower Sac. The Sac is putting out ridiculous numbers of big rainbows right now. The upper part of the river is seeing lots of 20+“ fish and situations where your backing is flying off your reel each day. If you want to try and get out on the Sac I’m booked for the next month but I can try to find you another guide to come give it a try.
Egg bite is weeks away. Things are looking good right now on the Feather as there are quite a few salmon over there. The Lower Sac seems like it may be a bit behind schedule as there are still a lot of salmon down lower on the river near Chico/Corning. So only time will tell but we are looking forward to another great year of egg bite and all the excitement that goes with that.
Check out my open dates below:
November: 16, 19 (Sat), 28-30 - Trout and Steelhead. The 16th of November is a prime Feather River Steelhead Date.
December 6, 8, 12-17, 19-22, 28-31 - Trout
