Ryan Johnston Reports on 9.21.2017
This week I decided to mix it up a little and create a specialized trip where we go target trout, steelhead, and stripers all in the same day while fishing on the Lower Sac. I had a good friend and client come up that really likes fishing for all three species so I thought lets create a customized trip. So we brought a multitude of rods and then went out on a fun adventure. What we found was that all three species were willing to play. By the end of the day we had landed 15 trout, 6 steelhead, and 6 stripers. Now that is what I call a fun day. There are not many places in the world where one can boast of catching all of those in the same day. So if you have some time off and want to come try a trip like this then send me an email. I will only be doing this trip for the next few weeks as the weather has to be fairly warm for the striper bite. The trout and steelhead are always there but the stripers are the x factor. I am still waiting to catch 6 different species of fish in one day. This week we got to 5 but couldn’t catch the elusive 6th species. Maybe you will be the one to break the species boat record.
