Fall River Fly Fishing Report
Dave Neal, Reel Adventures Guide Service
The effects of the CA drought are hitting many regions of CA hard right now… many of the Nor-Cal fisheries in the Fall River area are spring-fed and therefore a bit more resilient from the drought and warm water plaguing many other streams in CA at the present time. The usual August pattern of fishing early in the morning and fishing late in evening still hold – this is when most of the summer bugs like caddis and tricos, etc, are most active. It’s also when the effects of the hot sun are less uncomfortable.
