Delta Fly Fishing Report

DeltaMar 16, 20181 min read

Bryce Tedford Reports on 3.16.2018

Delta Striper fishing has been pretty good due to warmer weather & increased water temperatures. Spring Striper fishing is just picking up & prime fishing is just around the corner! April/May are shaping up to be prime on the Delta so book your 2018 Spring Striper adventure! Water temperatures are currently 55 degrees & the Striper bite should keep getting better as water temperatures increase & Spring spawn approaches. The fish have been biting pretty good some days & tougher other days but we have seen 10-20 fish days with a few quality fish up to 10lbs mixed in. Also, some nice Largemouth have been a great bye catch while searching for the willing Striper! The key to finding more fish has been moving around to various areas & finding fish willing to bite. I have been using 3-5” Rattle Clousers in various colors as water is a bit dirty in some areas & the rattles seem to entice the Stripers!
