California Delta Fly Fishing Report

Capt. Bryce Tedford reports on 3.20.19

Delta Fishing Report:

Striper fishing in the Delta continues to improve as waters warm & clear. Water temperatures are 50-55 degrees in various parts of the Delta depending on where you fish.

Finding water clarity can be a challenge out there but each day the clarity improves. The last few times out I have been getting 10-20 fish with some medium size fish mixed in but we are having to work for them.

The Spring season is just getting rolling, as weather improves so will the fishing! Most fish we have been finding are smaller “schoolies” but 3-5lb fish are mixed in & the occasional larger fish can be found as well!

For sub-surface Stripers I am using 1/0-3/0 “Steve Adachi” style rattle Clouser flies in various color combinations. Book your Spring adventure on the Delta soon!
