Deschutes River and Owyhee Fly Fishing Report

Deschutes RiverNov 4, 20161 min read

Cory Godell Reports on 11.3.2106

Yah it’s true, the number of steelhead in the Deschutes is definitely down this season. The good news is that the average size of the fish have been bigger than normal. This year we have seen a fair bit more two salt fish than normal. Sometimes less fish in the river isn’t always a bad thing.

OWYHEE
It’s just about time to call it good for another season on the Owyhee. Sooner than later the big ole brown trout of the Owyhee will be spawning and that’s when it’s time give them a break and wrap it up until spring. The good thing March is just around the corner which means the Skwala stones aren’t far behind.
