Pit River Fly Fishing Report

Pit RiverAug 14, 20141 min read

John Fochetti, Clearwater Lodge

The reaches of Pit 3,4, and 5 are all fishing great with some monster fish appearing. Successful fishing is still going to be mostly nymphing under an indicator. Over the last week I have seen many more fish eating the “big bug” (large stonelfy), as well as a lot taken on caddis patterns. The smaller mayflies didn’t seem as effective over the past week. In the evening there is still a great caddis hatch in the flat water.
