Eastern Oregon is one of the best places to be during the late summer and early fall. You get some amazing sunrises, people are thinning out, the fishing is as good now as it’s been all year, and the topper is that if you are tired of all the smoke in the air you can get away from it over there.

The Owyhee truly has it all right now.
If you like to fish dry dropper or nymphing, it’s a great time to be on the Owyhee. If prefer hunting big fish sipping small dries in slow moving water, you don’t want to miss this time of season. If you are the kind of person who enjoys throwing big flies for brown trout and the occasional rainbow, it’s time to pack your bags and head east. This is truly a great time to be on the river for all anglers.
