Delta Fly Fishing Report

Delta fishing is really fun right now. The fish are in the system. We need to find them and catch them. It’s a challenge but is fun when you put your skill’s to test and have a great day. This spring is shaping up to be special. I can only hope that you will get out and enjoy the Delta’s beauty.

Delta Striper fishing slowed down a bit due to cooler temperatures but warmer weather is coming & water temperatures will begin to rise. Spring Striper fishing is just starting to pickup & prime Spring Fishing is just around the corner! March-May are shaping up to be prime on the Delta so book your 2018 Spring Striper adventure! Water temperatures are currently 50-52 degrees & the Striper bite should just keep getting better as water temperatures improve. The fish have been biting good some days & tougher other days but we have seen a few quality fish up to 10lbs. The key to finding more fish has been moving around to various areas in the Delta & finding fish willing to bite. Been using 3-5” Rattle Clousers in various colors as water is a bit dirty in some areas & the rattles seem to entice the Stripers to bite!
