Customer and Cal Trout Golden Trout Member made a trip to Yuba River on Monday to find she was muddy and more than swollen from rains. She’s dropping into shape and the forecast looks like the rain is tapering off for Marysville. Looks like a great opportunity to swing some flies for steelhead in upcoming days. Sculpins, salmon alvins, and leaches are powerbars for fish moving up river. then again it’s the Yuba and she works in mysterious ways. Wade safely and use caution when fishing swollen rivers.
