The Upper Sacramento River is fishing very well. Focus on tight line nymphing techniques (USE SSG weights 1.6 grams) in the morning and afternoon. Fish all the little pockets and you will find fish. Small stones, caddis and mayfly patterns were all on the lunch ticket.
Cover a lot of water and you will catch a lot of fish. We fished just downstream of Mosbrea Falls and up river. The Dry Fly program was pretty good in the evening with small PMDs being the main hatch.
