Rob Russell reports on 5.25.2017
The shad have showed up. Last week was pretty good for the Russian, with guys getting 10 or 12 a session. I have got about 4 a session in the early a.m. or late p.m. the last few days, with yesterday really tapering off.
Still fun though, and the action should improve again, as long as fresh fish continue to show. The lineup has been mostly empty and/or very mellow.
The smallies should get active as the water temp approaches 70 degrees. I haven’t fished them yet with the water being so high and cold, and with the shad year being a relatively good one.
Feel free to give me a holler anytime Best, -Rob 707-888-2571
