Over the past couple of weeks steelhead have continued to push into the upper Rogue River and accounted for consistent and exciting fly fishing in S. Oregon! The fish in the system right now are the brightest, most aggressive and explosive steelhead we will hook over the coming months and favorable water flows and temperatures still make for a perfect excuse to head towards the Rogue Valley. Recent morning or evening sessions have averaged between two and three hooked fish with every one leaving a lasting impression. August brings average high temperatures of just under 90 degrees with lows dropping to 50 in Shady Cove making for very comfortable steelheading conditions.
