Finally back on the Rogue after what feels like too long. Fished a number of days over the past two weeks and have found steelhead on every trip. I would not go as far to say that there are lots of fish around but bright, wild steelhead are always worth the effort. Did not include any photos as we’ve been under a heat wave and I made a point to keep the fish wet. The extreme temperatures (112 today) will mellow out after today but the forecast calls for our highs to hover around the 100 degree mark over the next 10 days. Thankfully, last winter provided plenty of snow which has kept lots of cold water flowing through the summer heat! Feels like we’re in for another great late summer and fall on the Rogue.
