It’s been awhile since my last report and honestly, it’s been
awhile since getting out on the Rogue. All of the rain and snow (181"
of snow for the season at Mt. Ashland) hitting S. Oregon has kept the
river very high.
Flows below the dam to Rogue Elk dropped to fishable
levels and, at least for now, we’re not seeing large releases out of the
dam like last year. The forecast calls for a break through Tuesday which will hopefully bring the Rogue into shape at least to Shady Cove. However, more rain looks promising for Wednesday which could shake things up again.
Stay tuned.
