The Rogue fished well this week as a push of steelhead hit the upper
river between the hatchery and Tou Velle Park. I consider July to be a
shoulder month in our steelhead season though it’s one of my favorite
months to fish for early summers on the Rogue. There are definitely fish
around and some very bright ones at that with the bite becoming more
consistent as we move into August. Flows continue to stay below 2000 cfs
and temps hover between the low to upper 50’s depending on location.
All in all, could not be more excited about what I am seeing out there.
Still have a fair amount of availability in August open and then only
the first 4 days of September and last 5 days of November.
