We’ve seen some great fishing on the McCloud River and it is quite
possible the state’s best choice for summertime fishing. The water is
still very cool and the fish are happy. By no means is the fishing great
all day, in fact much of the day is spent changing bugs and techniques
to find out what they want. Standard techniques only landed little ones
(typical on summertime full moons). Those who stick with it and who were
at the right place at the right time, witnessed some fantastic action.
it just turns on. Thats’ summertime for you. I swing for the fence
during tough periods, the browns are around and will chase. Our guide
Carl Mogerley has been not only putting on some great trips but also
taking some rad photos, check out his latest trips pics.
