We have finally seen the hot weather snap and are getting cooler days up here in Mount Shasta-which is amazing! The McCloud River should definitely be one of your top choices right now and for the remainder of the fishing season. The McCloud is kicking out big browns and we are seeing a good amount of people catching them. The main attraction for fly pattern today was rubberlegs and variations of caddis patterns. Make sure to get your flys down and in the deep pools try taking the indicator off and go indicator-less high stick nymphing.
