Nicholas A. Peterson, NorthShore of the Madison
It’s the dog days of the “Indian Summer” here in Montana. Bright blue skies, 75 F and big fish at the end of the line, could you ask for more? We’ve been able to get some nice size rainbows and browns on hoppers through out the day with the streamer bite really kicking in lately.
Flows have been the name of the game. The Madison has run at the average rate the whole year which has really made the river fish great all season long. As we move into the fall brown run we should be able to get some of the river donkeys that everybody wants to land!
The way the season is moving so fast you better get some fishing in before the snow flies!
