Madison River Fly Fishing Report

Oct 2, 20141 min read

Nicholas A. Peterson, NorthShore of the Madison

The Blast n’ Cast. After a great day on the river and a beautiful evening approaching we decided to put in a little hunt with the dog.  We were able to put down a couple of Huns and a grouse with a bonus Jack! With the Madison Valley offering fly fishing, bird hunting and big game hunting the fall is the best time of year to visit.

The Madison has been fishing real well even though we’ve been fighting some nasty weather.  Snow in the mountains, rain and wind in the valley.  Big fish love nasty weather! The browns are starting to color up real nice and are getting super angry, chasing the streamers real well.
