I have been on vacation sense Saturday. The Striper fishing on the Lower Sac had been good. There is a TON of shad
in the river spawning and milling around so the big trophy fish have
been hard to come by but we have had a few follow flies to let us know
they are there. Most fish are in the 3-6lb range with a few 10lb fish
mixed in each day. Fishing has been a bit different with lower water and
lack of salmon, we are not getting fish up in the shallows like we
usually do this time of year so we are doing very little sight fishing.
Overall though fishing is good and should remain good through
September.
