A great Nor-Cal option has been the cool waters of Fall River. Midges and callibaetis are on the menu daily, presenting them on the downstream feed is the effective method. Look for the dry/dropper potential and you will find it. Swinging a leech pattern is also a lot of fun and a great way to mix it up for those who want a break from the bobber! I look forward to spending more time on the Fall River and surrounding waters as we move into September. Come see us at Clearwater Lodge for some great food, awesome atmosphere and solid late summer fishing on the nearby streams. If you have never experienced the beauty of Fall River Valley put it in your calendar!
