Fall River area is fishing pretty well but getting hot around mid-day… a quick swim in this water will cure any heat issues right away. The breezy afternoons have been really nice and the river - both upper and lower river - and around the confluence hasn’t been very crowded at all. Expect to find calibaetis action in the late morning along with midges all day long. Swinging and stripping leeches and damsel fly nymphs is always a good idea. These fish are native, wild trout and they grow big and strong in this system. They are truly an amazing species of rainbow trout! Consider staying at Clearwater Lodge with close proximity to Fall River, Pit River and Hat Creek for plenty of options… as an added bonus the food at the lodge is incredible!
