Morrish's October Caddis Adult

When developing this pattern my goal was to make a super light fly that sat more “on” the water as opposed to “in” the water like stimulator type patterns. I wanted this fly to be able to lightly dance on the surface and be capable of staying afloat under tension, so I added the minimalist “skate-plate”.  This is a light landing high floating pattern that has a low profile “skate plate” to keep it up under tension. Treat liberally with floatant and fish it both on the dead drift and with an erratic twitching skate.
