SKU Caltrout-93This reel is in excellent shape. It has minor marking on the front of the frame, but that is about the extent of it. The internals of it look clean and well taken care of. It does have old backing, and a more modern-looking flyline, although we do not know the model. This reel is supremely fishable, with many more trout left in it. This reel gets an A rating.
The Sage 504L is a highly regarded and now discontinued fly reel that holds a special place in the hearts of anglers who appreciate classic design paired with precision engineering. Produced in the 1990s, the 504L was actually made in England, by Hardy, for Sage, and is essentially a refined version of the Hardy Princess, with some subtle differences that set it apart.
