Just like it sounds this line is best indicator line you could ever ask for. I have never been a huge fan of things named xtreme or the orange tip that comes with most indicator specific lines out there, but I have to eat crow with this line. I used the orange tip as a built in indicator and was pleasantly surprised how well it did. Best line for Lower Sac, Trinity, and Feather River.

United StatesI've fished Rio lines for almost 25 yrs. I used the Xtreme Indicator line pretty much from it's debut. I loved the indicator tip, but more so how easy it was to cast, turn over and mend. Last year I believe Rio changed the manufacturing characteristics of the line. The line had a noticeably thicker head and off the spool retained the coil memory. I had a heck of time with the line (7 wt) dealing with the line not laying straight to the indicator and personally didn't like the thicker head. I also had this problem with the same line in 5 wt. I'll say this, Rio customer service was awesome and replaced several spools of line I had problems with. However, I had the same problem. I did not return the line this time. Tried stretching the line and that did not work. I switched to SA indicator line. Very similar to the old Rio line. Hopefully a bad batch?
